Aryshire Breed
Originated in Scotland and first introduced to the U.S. in 1822. Due to their ancestry and breeding standards the Ayrshire remains a hardy long-lived producer. They are also well suited for grazing which is still used as a feeding method in parts of the Northeast U.S.. Average milk production 14,000 lbs and 3.8% fat.
